FLEECE

Blue Faced Leicester Fleece  (Yearling) 

    This fleece is full of lustre and purl.   Clean, skirted, still in grease with an approximate weight of 3 lbs.   Length 2.5 inches.   The fleece comes from our newest sheep - Giselle (Wits End 0823).  She was fitted (trimmed up) for the 2009 Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, where she placed third in the longwool class with her breeder.  She was shorn on Sunday.  Image shown looking into the fleece - skin side facing out on the right, outer back fleece showing purl toward the center. $10.00

LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOG

       Sefira is a 3 year old AKC registered female Anatolian Shepherd Dog.  She is an experienced guardian for goats and sheep; also familiar with miniature horses.    Sefira loves attention from 'her' people, is tolerant of veterinary personnel, is current on all vaccines, structurally correct, and healthy.   She stays close to her herd/flock and does not wander.   Sefira has succesfully protected her charges from skunks, copperheads, assorted lizards, crows, white tailed deer, possums, and coyote.  Her breeder is Piddlin'Acres in Texas.   We are only offering her for sale because she cannot be trusted with our free ranging chickens; her price reflects that.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in need of a ready-to-work non-avian guardian dog.    $300.00
